This first bundle of sheet music books features the first four compositions on an acoustic grand piano; and the fifth work, Gett Out, on an acoustic guitar.

I am honored by this. And I thank my three co-authors, Joseph Strickland, Princeton "Natty Dreadlocks" Brown, and Greg "Big G" Schutte, for their creative and collaborative input. With producers like these, a gal can't help but be humble and grateful. Hehe.

Reviews by Cat Ellington: The End of the First Era

 

QUILL PEN INK PUBLISHING: Capping a 42-year-old collection—from 1979 to 2021—of analyses that began with Reviews by Cat Ellington: The Complete Anthology, Vol. 1, Reviews by Cat Ellington: The Complete Anthology, Vol. 9—presented in a neutral hue of Teal—will mark the end of the first era in the literary criticism of its author, Cat Ellington.

CAT ELLINGTON: That's me, folks. And although it pains me to say it, the end is near for the Reviews by Cat Ellington series. It was a fun run, but other literary projects require my writing contributions—like those of the next era. Where it concerns the RCE series, I did what I wanted to do, what I envisioned: I completed a 9-book progression (in the RCE series) in addition to a 3-book subsidiary progression, hence The Unique Critique Trilogies series, and produced 12 titles. I'm not crazy about odd numbers, but here, they worked together to bring about an even number overall, you know? Twelve. And by the grace of God, I got it done. I did my job.

The Reviews by Cat Ellington series will end on September 16, 2023 – with the release of Reviews by Cat Ellington: The Complete Anthology, Vol. 9. And stay tuned for release information about Reviews by Cat Ellington: A Trilogy of Unique Critiques #3, the third and final title in The Unique Critique Trilogies series.

CatEllington.com Celebrates 600,000 Organic Visits!

My dear men and women, we have reached another huge milestone at the Boutique Domain. According to the ol' button counter at the site, CatEllington.com has tallied 600,000 organic visits. And because my domain provider only counts ONE IP address at a time, and only one time, I would call that wowing.

A strict mechanism, the button counter affiliated with the location spurns manipulation. That means NO ONE, not even myself, can refresh any of its pages to increase its count; neither does it recognize bots acting as legitimate visitors; therefore, the counter reflects genuine traffic at CatEllington.com.

As I prepared the artwork for this post, the button counter read 599,867 visits. While I spent time fretting over the color scheme for said art, I returned to find the counter tally had increased to 599,982. Good. I had some more time to make up my mind about the corresponding image for the post. But when I returned to post the image — at around 2:30 p.m. — the button counter read 600,001. So I was late. Hehe. But, better late than never, right?

The Boutique Domain, a subsidiary of The Black Jaguar Music Company, is my happy place. I can splurge creatively there; I can act goofy 'n' sh*t there; I can jive talk there and be my usual, unfiltered self. I love the location. And I thank The Black Jaguar Music Company for funding it in honor of me.

As you all know, by now, the Boutique Domain is constantly evolving. So expect more changes to come as I continue on my creative journeys in the fields of music, movies, art, and literature. And trust, boys and girls, that it will be a stone-ass groove.
